Ohio State Ascends to Top Spot
Buckeyes jump to No. 1 in this week's AP poll after an impressive victory over No. 9 Penn State.
Ohio State's offense, led by quarterback C.J. Stroud, was unstoppable, racking up over 600 yards of total offense. Stroud threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns, while running back TreVeyon Henderson rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown.
The Buckeyes' defense was equally impressive, holding Penn State's offense to just 267 yards. Defensive end Jack Sawyer had a breakout game, recording two sacks and three tackles for loss.
Clemson Tumbles After Loss to Syracuse
Tigers fall from No. 4 to No. 16 following their shocking loss to unranked Syracuse.
Clemson's offense struggled all game long, failing to score a touchdown. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei threw two interceptions and was sacked five times.
The Tigers' defense also had a poor performance, allowing Syracuse to rush for over 200 yards. Linebacker Trenton Simpson was ejected from the game for targeting.
