CU Boulder Football Adds Prestigious National Telecast

Boulder, Colo. – The University of Colorado Boulder's football program has added a prestigious national telecast to its 2023 schedule, as the Buffaloes will host the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, September 16, at Folsom Field.

A Milestone for CU Football

The game will mark the first time that CU Boulder has hosted a nationally televised non-conference opponent in over a decade. The last time the Buffaloes hosted a nationally televised non-conference game was in 2011, when they defeated the California Golden Bears on ESPN2.

A Major Opportunity for the Buffaloes

The matchup with Oklahoma will provide CU Boulder with a national stage to showcase its program and compete against one of the top teams in the country. The Sooners have won seven national championships and have appeared in 50 bowl games, including a victory in the 2001 BCS National Championship Game.

A Boost for the Boulder Community

The game is also expected to have a significant economic impact on the Boulder community. The influx of visitors and media attention will boost local businesses and provide a boost to the local economy.

“We are excited to add this prestigious telecast to our schedule,” said CU Boulder Athletic Director Rick George. “This game is a great opportunity for our football program to compete against one of the best teams in the country and showcase our program on a national stage.”

Tickets for the game will go on sale to the public on Monday, April 17. For more information, visit cubuffs.com.
