Discover Saint Louis' Rising Stars On College Basketball Award Watch Lists
Saint Louis University is proud to announce that two of its men's basketball players, Gibson Jimerson and Yuri Collins, have been named to prestigious award watch lists for the upcoming season.
Gibson Jimerson Named to Karl Malone Award Watch List
Jimerson is one of the nation's most exciting young forwards and has been named to the watch list for the Karl Malone Award, which is given annually to the nation's top power forward. As a sophomore last year, Jimerson averaged 11.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game and shot 40.7% from three-point range. He is known for his athleticism, versatility, and ability to score from all three levels.
Yuri Collins Named to Bob Cousy Award Watch List
Collins is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in the country and has been named to the watch list for the Bob Cousy Award, which is given annually to the nation's top point guard. As a sophomore last year, Collins averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He is known for his exceptional ball-handling skills, court vision, and ability to create for others.
Both Jimerson and Collins are expected to play key roles for Saint Louis this season. The Billikens are coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance and are looking to make another run this year. With Jimerson and Collins leading the way, Saint Louis has the potential to be one of the most exciting teams in the country.
