Golden Knights' Undefeated Home Streak Continues In Overtime Thriller Against Utah
The Vegas Golden Knights extended their undefeated home streak to ten games with a thrilling 5-4 overtime victory over the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday night at the Orleans Arena.
Back-And-Forth Battle
It was a back-and-forth battle throughout the game, with both teams trading goals. The Golden Knights took an early lead in the first period, but the Grizzlies came back to tie it up. Vegas regained the advantage in the second period, but Utah once again answered back.
The game remained tied until late in the third period when the Golden Knights' Keegan Kolesar scored a power-play goal to give Vegas a 4-3 lead. However, the Grizzlies' Alex Limoges tied it up again with just over a minute remaining in regulation.
Olofsson Wins It In Overtime
The game went to overtime, where the Golden Knights' Victor Olofsson scored the game-winning goal just 2:20 into the extra period.
Impressive Streak
The victory improved the Golden Knights' record to 10-0-0 at home this season. They are now tied for the longest home winning streak in the AHL this season.
The Golden Knights will look to extend their streak on Friday night when they host the San Diego Gulls.
