Golden Knights Outlast Hockey Club in Thrilling 4-3 Contest
Vegas Stays Perfect, Improves to 4-0
The Vegas Golden Knights continued their impressive start to the 2024 season with a hard-fought 4-3 victory over the Hockey Club on Wednesday night.
Vegas dominated the first period, outshooting the visitors 17-5. William Karlsson opened the scoring at 7:32 with a power-play goal, and Jack Eichel added to the lead with a goal at 16:24.
However, the Hockey Club came out strong in the second period, tying the game with goals from Mark Stone and Alex DeBrincat.
Vegas regained the lead early in the third period on a goal by Reilly Smith, but the Hockey Club struck back just minutes later on a goal by Kent Johnson.
With the game tied 3-3 with less than five minutes remaining, Karlsson came up with the game-winner, his second goal of the night.

The Golden Knights' victory improves their record to 4-0 on the season. They are one of only two undefeated teams remaining in the NHL, along with the Boston Bruins.
Vegas has been led by its offense, which has averaged 4.5 goals per game through the first four games of the season. Karlsson, Eichel, and Smith have all scored multiple goals for the Golden Knights.

The Hockey Club may have lost the game, but they showed a lot of heart and determination in coming back from a two-goal deficit.
The team was led by Stone and DeBrincat, who both scored goals. Johnson also had a strong game, scoring a goal and adding an assist.
The Hockey Club will look to bounce back from this loss when they face the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night.
