## Jets Find Success With Balanced Scoring In Rout Over Lightning
The Winnipeg Jets scored four times in the first period and cruised to a 7-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.
Seven different players scored for the Jets, who have now won four of their last five games.
Balanced Scoring Leads the Way
Karson Kuhlman opened the scoring just 2:14 into the game, and the Jets never looked back. Nikolaj Ehlers, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Mark Scheifele also scored in the first period to give Winnipeg a 4-0 lead.
The Lightning got on the board with a power-play goal from Steven Stamkos in the second period, but the Jets answered right back with goals from Kyle Connor and Cole Perfetti.
Stamkos scored his second of the game in the third period, and Nikita Kucherov added another for the Lightning, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Jets' balanced scoring attack.
Hellebuyck Stands Tall
Connor Hellebuyck made 35 saves for the Jets, including several key stops in the third period to preserve the win.
The Lightning outshot the Jets 39-32, but Hellebuyck was up to the task.
What's Next?
The Jets will host the Boston Bruins on Thursday night. The Lightning will return home to face the Florida Panthers on Friday night.
