## Martha Stewart Pans Her Own Netflix Docuseries 'Martha': Here's What She Said

### Celebrity chef not impressed with the way she was portrayed in the documentary

Celebrity chef Martha Stewart has criticized the Netflix docuseries 'Martha,' which she believes did not accurately portray her.

In an interview with The New York Times, Stewart said she found the series to be "a little bit hard to watch" and that she felt like she was "not being represented fairly."

"I thought it was going to be a little bit more of a behind-the-scenes look at my life and my work, but it was really more of a tabloid exposé," Stewart said.

Stewart took particular issue with the way the series depicted her relationship with her daughter, Alexis Stewart, and her former protégé, Gwyneth Paltrow.

"I think they tried to make it more into a drama than it really was," Stewart said. "I'm not saying that the things that happened didn't happen, but I don't think they were portrayed in the right context."

Stewart also said she was unhappy with the way the series portrayed her as a perfectionist and a control freak.

"I think that's a caricature of me," Stewart said. "I'm not perfect, and I don't try to be. I'm just trying to do the best I can."

Netflix has not yet commented on Stewart's criticism, but the docuseries has been met with mixed reviews from critics.

some have praised it for its insights into Stewart's life and career, while others have criticized it for being too sensationalistic.
