The Texas Longhorns lived up to their billing as massive favorites, dismantling the Florida Gators 41-11 in a dominant performance on Saturday night.
Longhorns Control from the Start
Texas set the tone early, scoring touchdowns on their first two possessions. Quarterback Quinn Ewers looked sharp, completing 15 of 20 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Bijan Robinson added to the misery for the Gators, rushing for 159 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.
Gators Struggle Offensively
Florida's offense struggled to keep pace, managing just 265 yards and 11 points. Quarterback Anthony Richardson was limited to 103 passing yards and one touchdown, while the running game was non-existent, mustering only 96 yards on 27 attempts.
Texas Defense Stifles Florida
The Longhorns defense was equally impressive, holding the Gators to just 2-for-12 on third down and forcing two turnovers. Defensive end Ovie Oghoufo led the way with two sacks, while linebacker Jaylan Ford added an interception.
