Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Suffers Shoulder Injury In Falcons Matchup
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons and is expected to miss some time.
Lamb was injured in the second quarter when he was tackled awkwardly by Falcons safety Richie Grant. He immediately grabbed his shoulder and was taken to the locker room for evaluation.
MRI Confirms Shoulder Sprain
An MRI on Monday confirmed that Lamb has a grade 2 shoulder sprain. The injury is not expected to require surgery, but it will likely keep Lamb out of action for several weeks.
The Cowboys are already without wide receiver Michael Gallup, who is recovering from a torn ACL. Lamb's injury leaves Dallas with just Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson as their primary wide receivers.
The Cowboys are 4-1 this season and are tied for first place in the NFC East. Lamb's injury is a significant blow to their offense, but they will hope to be able to overcome it and make a run at the playoffs.
