Harris, Trump Neck-and-Neck In Crucial Swing States, Times/Siena Polls Reveal
A new poll from The New York Times and Siena College shows that the presidential race is neck-and-neck in several crucial swing states, with Democratic challenger Joe Biden holding a slight lead over incumbent Donald Trump.
The poll, conducted from September 10-14, 2020, surveyed registered voters in Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. In Florida, Biden led Trump by 49% to 45%, while in Pennsylvania, Biden led by 48% to 44%. In Michigan, Biden led by 49% to 43%, and in Wisconsin, Biden led by 49% to 42%. In Arizona, Trump led by 48% to 43%.
The poll also found that Biden is leading among women, non-white voters, and college-educated voters. Trump is leading among men, white voters, and voters without a college degree.
The poll is the latest in a series of polls that have shown Biden leading Trump in the key swing states. A recent poll from ABC News and The Washington Post found that Biden led Trump by 12 points nationally.
The race for the presidency is likely to be close, and the results could hinge on the outcome in the swing states. The Times/Siena poll suggests that the race is still very much up for grabs, and that either candidate could win.
