Watkins Sets New Scoring Record As Rebels Run Wild
Jordan Watkins was the star of the show, setting a new single-game scoring record with 30 points. The junior running back rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown pass.
Jaxson Dart was also impressive, completing 20 of 28 passes for 341 yards and three touchdowns. The freshman quarterback also ran for a touchdown.
The Rebels' offense was unstoppable all night long, piling up 677 yards of total offense. They scored touchdowns on their first six possessions and led 49-14 at halftime.
Arkansas' defense had no answer for Ole Miss' high-powered offense. The Razorbacks gave up a season-high in points and allowed the Rebels to convert 10 of 16 third downs.
The victory was Ole Miss' first over Arkansas since 2016. It also snapped a five-game losing streak to the Razorbacks.
Ole Miss will travel to Auburn next Saturday for a matchup of two top-25 teams. Arkansas will host LSU next Saturday.
