### Howden's OT Heroics Lift Vegas Over Utah Hockey Club
Vegas Golden Knights forward William Howden scored a goal 2:07 into overtime to lift his team to a 3-2 victory over the Utah Hockey Club in an exhibition game at Vivint Arena on Wednesday night.
Howden's goal came on a rebound after Utah goaltender Jakob Silvernagle made a save on a shot by Shea Theodore. It was Howden's first goal of the preseason.
The Golden Knights took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Jonathan Marchessault and Michael Amadio. Utah answered back in the second period with goals by Mark McLaughlin and Griffin Reinhart.
Vegas outshot Utah 35-28 in the game. Golden Knights goaltender Logan Thompson made 26 saves, while Silvernagle made 32 saves for Utah.
The Golden Knights will open the regular season on Thursday, October 13, at home against the Los Angeles Kings. The Utah Hockey Club will open the regular season on Friday, October 14, at home against the Idaho Steelheads.
