Panthers Dominate Two-Game Series In Finland, Sweeping Stars

The Florida Panthers continued their impressive preseason form with a two-game sweep of the Dallas Stars in Finland. The Panthers won the first game 4-1 and the second game 5-2.

Panthers Win First Game 4-1

The Panthers got off to a fast start in the first game, scoring two goals in the first period. Aleksander Barkov opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 5:23, and Sam Reinhart made it 2-0 at 12:05.

The Stars cut the lead to 2-1 in the second period on a goal by Joel Kiviranta, but the Panthers restored their two-goal lead on a goal by Carter Verhaeghe at 14:35.

The Panthers added an empty-net goal by Barkov in the final minute to seal the 4-1 victory.

Panthers Win Second Game 5-2

The Panthers continued their strong play in the second game, scoring three goals in the first period. Reinhart opened the scoring at 4:05, and Verhaeghe made it 2-0 at 10:25. Barkov extended the lead to 3-0 at 16:35.

The Stars cut the lead to 3-2 in the second period on goals by Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson, but the Panthers regained their three-goal lead on a goal by Anton Lundell at 17:35.

The Panthers added an empty-net goal by Reinhart in the final minute to seal the 5-2 victory.

Panthers' Impressive Preseason Continues

The Panthers have now won four of their five preseason games, with their only loss coming in a shootout. The Panthers have been impressive on both ends of the ice, scoring 19 goals and allowing only 8.

The Panthers will open the regular season on October 12th at home against the New York Islanders.
