ULM Suspends OL Coach For Irate Outburst On Sideline
Offensive Line Coach Breaks Out Into Expletive-Laced Tirade
The University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) has suspended offensive line coach Josh Aldridge for one game after an irate outburst on the sideline during Saturday's game against Southern Miss.
Footage from the game broadcast shows Aldridge yelling profanities and berating players after a missed block. The outburst drew criticism from fans and media alike, with many calling for his dismissal.
In a statement, ULM head coach Terry Bowden said, "We will not tolerate behavior that is disrespectful to our players or the university. Coach Aldridge's actions were unacceptable and have consequences."
Aldridge will miss the Warhawks' next game, a road contest against Arkansas State. He is expected to return to the team for their following game against Coastal Carolina.
