NFL Legends McCoy, Jackson Reflect On Their Eagles Legacy and the Next Generation
Iconic Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and wide receiver DeSean Jackson recently reunited to discuss their illustrious careers with the team and share their perspectives on the current state of the franchise.
McCoy: A Dynamic Force on the Ground
"Playing for the Eagles was a dream come true," McCoy said. "I was fortunate to be part of some great teams and have some legendary teammates."
McCoy spent six seasons in Philadelphia, rushing for over 6,700 yards and 54 touchdowns. He was a Pro Bowler twice and a key member of the Eagles' NFC East championship team in 2013.
"I take a lot of pride in my time there," McCoy added. "I think I left a legacy of being a hard-working, dedicated player who always gave it his all."
Jackson: An Explosive Aerial Threat
"I loved every minute of playing for the Eagles," Jackson said. "The fans were amazing, and I had the chance to play with some incredible players."
Jackson spent seven seasons in Philadelphia, catching 53 touchdowns and accumulating over 6,000 receiving yards. He was a Pro Bowler three times and helped lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl in 2008.
"I always felt like I had something to prove," Jackson said. "I wanted to be the best that I could be, and I think I showed that on the field."
Mentoring the Next Generation
Both McCoy and Jackson have been active in mentoring young players, including current Eagles running back Miles Sanders and wide receiver DeVonta Smith.
"I want to help the young guys reach their full potential," McCoy said. "I share my experiences and lessons I've learned in the NFL with them."
Jackson echoed these sentiments, adding that he believes the Eagles have a bright future.
"I see a lot of potential in this team," Jackson said. "They have some talented young players, and I'm excited to see what they can accomplish."
