## Rangers Boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst Blames "Costly Errors" For Defeat
Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has bemoaned his team's "costly errors" that led to their 2-1 defeat against Hibernian.
Individual Mistakes Punished
The Dutch boss was left frustrated by his side's inability to defend set-pieces effectively, which allowed Hibs to score both of their goals.
"We made some costly errors today that cost us the game," van Bronckhorst said. "We conceded two goals from set-pieces, which is something we've been working on. But today, it didn't happen."
Mental Weakness Exposed
Van Bronckhorst also questioned his team's mental resilience after they failed to bounce back from conceding the opening goal early in the second half.
"We didn't show enough character or fightback," he added. "We lost our way after going behind, and it's something we need to address."
Tactical Adjustments Falter
The Rangers manager also admitted that his tactical adjustments at halftime failed to have the desired effect.
"We tried to change our shape and system at halftime, but it didn't work," van Bronckhorst said. "We didn't create enough chances, and we didn't defend well enough."
Must Improve or Pay the Price
Van Bronckhorst knows that Rangers cannot afford to make similar mistakes in their upcoming matches if they want to maintain their title challenge.
"We need to learn from our mistakes and improve quickly," he said. "Otherwise, we'll continue to drop points."
